Hello!Educator is a dedicated school management platform for teachers and administrators at pre-primary educational institutions. It allows authorized staff to manage student attendance, post class announcements, upload stories, and record student evaluation marks.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Hello!Educator Android application, web portal, and associated backend services.
2What Information We Collect
We collect only the essential information needed for educators to perform classroom duties:
- Educator/Teacher Profile: Staff name, institutional email address, assigned class, and role
- Student & Classroom Records: Attendance entries, assessment marks, activity photos/stories, and announcements published by the teacher
- Authentication Data: Secure password hash / session credentials for staff authentication
- Device & Access Logs: IP address and login timestamps for security and access verification
đ Hello!Educator does not track precise user location, scan personal device files, or share data with third-party advertisers.
3How We Use Your Information
Information collected is used strictly to support school operations:
- Authenticating teachers and administrators securely
- Allowing teachers to record attendance and enter academic evaluations
- Publishing school activities, updates, and announcements for parents
- Maintaining audit logs of administrative changes for institutional security
We never sell or monetise educator or student data under any circumstances.
4Data Storage & Security
All data processed by Hello!Educator is protected by industry-standard security protocols:
- Secure authentication via signed JWT tokens and HttpOnly cookie storage
- AES-256-GCM encrypted database backups
- All traffic encrypted via HTTPS/TLS in transit
- Strict role-based access control preventing unauthorized data access
5Your Rights â DPDP Act 2023 (Data Principal Rights)
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a summary of personal data we hold about you (Section 11, DPDP Act)
- Right to Correction & Erasure: Request correction or deletion of inaccurate/outdated data (Section 12, DPDP Act)
- Right to Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer â we respond within 7 working days (Section 13, DPDP Act)
- Right to Nominate: Nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf (Section 14, DPDP Act)
- Withdraw Consent: Contact your school administrator to request account deactivation at any time

6Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach affecting educator or school records, we will notify affected individuals and the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with applicable DPDP Act timelines.
